Project Description
Illinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from architects and engineers to provide planning, programming and estimating assistance for the University to locate the dining centers bakery and food production operations at Watterson Dining Commons.

The scope of planning and design work includes, but may not be limited to:

1.Engage an architectural/engineering design team to evaluate the existing facility, including:

a.Functional issues

b.Infrastructure issues

c.Structural issues

2.Develop program requirements, Schematic Designs and make recommendations

a.Develop conceptual program

b.Prepare conceptual drawings/images based upon the program

c.Prepare Schematic Design package and project budget

3.Complete Design Development and prepare Construction Documents for expansion project

a.Complete Design Development phase

b.Prepare a phasing plan to maintain operations

c.Prepare a project schedule

d.Prepare budget

e.Complete Construction Documents

4.Construction Administration Services

Firms interested in submitting their qualifications should have demonstrated knowledge and experience with dining center and bakery and food preparation facilities on a university campus. Approvals have been achieved for planning purposes only. No project costs have been established for this project at this time.

  • Submitted 2 copies of their qualifications.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
  • There is no BEP goal for this procurement.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
