Illinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from architectural firms interested in providing design and construction administrative services for the installation of a new roof system on Hovey Hall and the Hovey Hall Annex on the main campus. Work will include the removal of the existing roof and replacement with a new membrane roofing system. The estimated cost for this project is $600,000.
Hovey Hall is the Administration building for the campus. The original building was constructed in 1950. The annex was added in 1967. This proposed project is essential to maintaining the exterior envelope of the facility and extending its useful life. Coordination will be required to facilitate work and scheduled with appropriate ISU staff.
Design firms interested in submitting their qualifications should have demonstrated knowledge and experience with roof replacement projects. The architects and their consultants will be responsible for developing a complete project budget as their design progresses.
