Illinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from engineers to perform design work for replacing/upgrading the house and work lighting systems in Braden Auditorium. This facility can seat 3,500 and is the primary venue on campus for performances and events for the campus and community. The facility opened in 1972.
Work will include the replacement of all house and work fixtures, wiring and control panels. It is expected to be an energy efficient system. It is expected to be a dimmable system. Current fixtures are as high as 80’ above the floor of the auditorium. These fixtures will require access for maintenance. Coordination between the successful candidate and appropriate ISU staff will be required to facilitate work.
The scope of engineered design work includes, but may not be limited to:
1.Engage an A/E firm to design a new lighting system and upgrades to infrastructure.
2.Provide design for the entire auditorium and stage areas.
3.Prepare plans and specifications for said improvements and upgrades.
4.Prepare a phasing plan if necessary.
