Project Description
Illinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from architectural and engineering firms interested in providing design services for a plan to revitalize the Bone Student Center and Braden Auditorium on the main campus. Preference will be given to firms with substantial Student Center planning experience. Renovations to the Auditorium will primarily focus on how it relates to the Student Center. It will not include any renovations to the performance spaces (ie, stage, rigging, lighting, acoustics). An identity study has been completed by the University to help it better utilize and operate the facility. That study will be made available to the successful consultant. It is intended that the consultant prepare both Short Term and Long Term plans, based upon the identity study, identifying work that can be accomplished in each Term in a sequenced and progressive manner. Deliverables will include programmatic language, budget estimates, and schematic designs for each facet or phase of work. The fee for this portion of the work will be determined at a later date.
