Project Description
Illinois State University is seeking statements of qualifications from architecture and engineering firms interested in providing programming and design services for the renovation of the data center in Julian Hall. Julian Hall houses the University’s computer center. Improvements are sought for the mechanical systems, the electrical systems (including backup power), the fire suppression system, the security system, and for upgrades to the interior spaces (walls, floors, ceilings, lighting, etc.). Construction work, which will be a continuation of the design contract, will commence after identification of funding. The design work is estimated at approximately $100,000.

Qualifications and supporting materials will be accepted at the address below until 2:00 PM, Monday November 29, 2010:

Any firm or individual who wishes to submit their qualifications in response to this solicitation must submit the State Board of Elections (SBE) certificate of business entity registration, complete and submit the Contractor Certifications and Conflicts Form (attached), complete and submit the Contractors Disclosures and Conflicts of Interest form (attached), and complete and submit the Vendor/Contractor Use of Subcontractors Form (attached). If you do not submit the SBE certificate (if required), the completed Contractor Certifications and Conflicts Form, the Contractors Disclosures and Conflicts of Interest form, and the Vendor/Contractor Use of Subcontractors form your qualifications may not be accepted by the University.
Your statement of qualifications must include the information requested above, the information included on the CDB 255 form, and any other information about your firm that you would like to include pertaining to this project. A copy of your CDB pre-qualification confirming your registration, the (1) Certificate of Business Entity Registration from the State Board of Elections, a copy of your (2) Contractor Certifications and Conflicts Form, (3) Contractors Disclosures and Conflicts of Interest form, (4) Vendor/Contractor Use of Subcontractors form, must be included in your response. Three copies of your statement of qualifications must be sent to Robyn Schuline, 1220 Purchasing Office, Uptown Crossing, 100 South Fell Avenue, Suite D, Normal IL 61761. Statements of Qualifications are due November 29, 2010, at 2:00 PM local time.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
  • Submitted 3 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
