The Board of Trustees of Illinois State Universityhereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Haynie Hall Renovation project (Bid # RB042705).
Renovation of Haynie Hall, a 12-story residence hall. The scope of work includes renovation of the existing restrooms, replacement of the heating and ventilation units in the student rooms, modification of the electrical distribution system, renovation of the lobby, addition of an entry canopy, replacement of the interior finishes on the typical student floors, installation of a new sprinkler system, modifications to the existing fire alarm system, new lighting systems, minor elevator modifications, exterior window and door replacements, a new roofing system and other miscellaneous improvements. Prime bids will be accepted for general, plumbing, heating, ventilation, electrical, and sprinkler systems.
Bidding documents may be obtained at CBT companies (aatn: Jim Rinehart), 325 West R.B. Garrett Avenue, Peoria, IL 61605, PH:309-676-6633, FAX: 309-676-0502. A $100 deposit is required made payable to Shive-Hattery Inc. If bidding documents are returned in good condition within 10 days after bid opening, your deposit will be returned. Return all bidding documents to CBT Companies in order to have deposit returned.
Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Haynie Hall Renovation .Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Wednesday, April 27, 2005.Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for April 13, 2005 at 10:00 AM CST, at Linkins Hall Private Dining Room, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. If you are planning on submitting a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
