Invitation for Construction Bid: Heating Plant Condensate Piping Project
Due to unexpected high costs, must be rebid to maintain compliance with procurement code requirements concerning separate primes.

Illinois State University requests sealed bids for the Heating Plant Condensate Piping Improvement Project. The project involves the removal of existing condensate surge tank and transfer pumps located in the basement of the heating plant. Install two (2) new field erected condensate storage tanks and associated controls. Install two (2) new transfer pumps and associate piping. Reroute existing condensate return lines to new storage tanks. Prime bids will be accepted from Mechanical Contractors.

There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 1, 2009 at 9:00 AM at the Purchasing office Conference Room, Hovey Hall, Room 117, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois, 61790. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.

A refundable bidding document deposit of $50 will be charged to obtain plans. This deposit may be paid by certified check or CIB/AGC card. Deposits will be refunded after the bid documents are returned within 15 business days after the bid opening.
