The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Center Pivot Irrigation System project.

Project will involve the installation of a center pivot irrigation system, to include: a center pivot covering the circle portion of 40 acres square, the construction of a well, and installation of underground transfer line and pump from a slurry store to the irrigator.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Center Pivot Irrigation System. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, November 10, 2005. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

• Bid security (see complete bid for details)
• A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
• All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting on October 27, 2005 at 2:00 PM CST at the ISU Farm Conference Center located at 25578 ISU Farm Lane, Lexington, Illinois, 61753. This is a mandatory pre-bid meeting. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
