The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Watterson Commons Piping Relocation project.

Vendor will porovide new shallow pipe tunnel adjacent to existing connecting link between Watterson Commons and North Tower and provide 6 inch chilled water supply and return pipes in new tunnel for connection to existing in each building by ISU at a later date. The vendor will also provide new 6 inch steam and 2-1/2 inch condensate piping in new tunnel and connect to existing in each building.

Bidding documents may be obtained through Dean's Digital Plan Room at www.deansblueprint.com or from Engineering Concepts Solutions, 1103 Mattis Avenue, Suite B, Champaign, Illinois 67927, Attn: Tom Cullop, PH# 217-355-9061.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Watterson Commons Piping Relocation. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, November 22, 2005. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

• Bid security (see complete bid for details)
• A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
• All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting on November 8, 2005 at 10:00 AM CST at the Watterson Commons Lobby, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois, 61790. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
