Public Higher Education Bulletin

The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Horton Fieldhouse Pool Improvement Phase 2 project (Bid # RB120105).

The successful contractor is to remove existing ceiling and lighting and install new lighting. The area is to be painted. Prime bids will be accepted for general contractor and electrical contractor.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Horton Fieldhouse Pool Improvement Phase 2 .Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, December 1, 2005.Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

• Bid security (see complete bid for details)
• A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
• All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

There is a mandatory pre-bid meeting on November 17, 2005 at 10:00 AM at the Horton Fieldhouse Pool, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois, 61790. This is a mandatory pre-bid meeting. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
