The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Horton Water Main Replacement project (Bid # RB120704).
Install approximately 2,000 Lineal Feet of Ductile iron water pipe, including three new hydrants and associated valves, to replace existing deteriorated water main. The routing of the water main will require penetration of an existing steam tunnel. Project will require removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks, asphalt parking areas, minor amounts of curb replacement seeding and other site restoration activities. Prime bids will be accepted from Plumbing Contractors for this project.
Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Horton Water Main Replacement. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, December 7, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for November 22, 2004, 10:00 AM CST, at the North end of the Horton Field House Concourse, Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. If you are planning to submit a prime bid for this project, you must attend this meeting and your company name must appear on the official attendance log. This log will be used in the bid opening process, and if your company name does not appear on the log, your bid will not be opened.
