The University awarded a contract for Hovey Hall Column Shroud Replacement.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which
public health or safety was threatened.
A concrete column shroud on the east pillars of Hovey Hall failed and collapsed without notice. Due to the danger posed by possible failure of the remaining 7 pillars, the University requires immediate action to inspect and design replacements for the concrete columns. The health and safety of the public is of major concern and warrants an expedited repair of the facility. In addition, immediate repairs are needed to prevent further loss or damage to University property.
