Illinois State University awarded a contract for McCormick Hall ceiling collapse in the amount of $90,000 on Thursday, September 1, 2005 . Several ceilings in a university academic building, McCormick Hall, collapsed. After the collapse the remaining ceilings in the building were inspected and determined to be unsafe. All occupants, classes, and services in the affected building will be relocated until the ceilings can be repaired. Repair work will commence in early September, 2005. This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which immediate action was needed to prevent any disruption in University services.
