The Board of Trustees of Illinois State University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Division B, Phase I, foundation construction electrical rough-in and flatwork for School Street Improvements project.

This project consists of constructing foundations for future artwork and electrical conduit rough-in for lighting and sidewalk pavement on School Street from +/- 500' north of Beaufort St to +/- 200' south of North St. This division is being done in connection with the "in Exchange" pedestrian mall project. Bidding documents may be obtained from Vasconcelles Engineering Coroporation, 2417 West White Oaks Dr. Springfield, IL 62704. A refundable plan deposit of $100 is required.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Division B, Phase I, foundation construction electrical rough-in and flatwork for School Street Improvements. Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 AM local time, on Tuesday, September 19, 2000. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for September 11, 2000, 9:30 AM at Facilities Planning, 608 North Main St., Normal, IL.
