Invitation for Construction Bid: Campuswide WiFi Deployment 2020- Phase I
This project is being cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Resources allocated for this project were diverted to other critical University projects.
Addendum #5 is being issued to revise the bid opening date and time. The new public bid opening call-in information is also being provided.
Due to technical issues with the Illinois Procurement Bulletin of Higher Education, bidders were unable to submit electronic bids via the E-Bidding platform on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM CT.
Addendum #4 is being issued to provide e-bidding bid opening call-in information and to provide answers to questions received.
Addendum #3 is being issued to provide additional information on the walk through, revised bid opening date, additional Q & A period, clarifications to drawings and answers to questions received.
Addendum 2 is being issued to reschedule the pre-bid conference, reschedule questions due date, and provide E-bidding information.
Addendum 1 is being issued to cancel the scheduled pre-bid conference and site visits. A Pre-bid conference and site-visits will be scheduled at a later date. Also included is answer to one question received.

The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University is requesting bids to furnish all necessary labor, materials and equipment to install owner supplied Wireless Access Points (WAP) at locations in various buildings at the main campus and at Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS).
Prime Contract will be awarded for:
Electrical: 5% of the base bid
Northeastern Illinois University strongly supports the participation of businesses owned by Minorities, Women and Persons with Disabilities and has established a goal that 20% of its contracts be awarded to Business Enterprise Program (BEP) owned businesses. The University desires participation either on a direct basis or through sub-contracting efforts. The Bidder must submit a Business Enterprise Program (BEP) Utilization Plan (V20.0) in accordance with Section 00 4115 of this bid document.
Northeastern Illinois University strongly supports the participation of businesses owned by Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB/SDVOSB) and has established a goal that 3% of the resultant contracts be awarded to certified Veteran Business Program (VBP)owned businesses. Bidders must submit a VOSB/SDVOSB Utilization Plan (V20.0) in accordance with Section 00 4115 of the bid document.
At the time of bid, Vendor, or the proposed Subcontractor(s), must be certified with CMS as a BEP, VOSB or SDVOSB. Failure to complete a Utilization Plan or provide Good Faith Effort documentation shall render the bid non-responsive or not responsible.

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. (CT) at the main campus in the Student Union Building- Alumni Hall North. Site Visit at the main campus will immediately follow the Pre-Bid Conference.
A second MANDATORY site visit will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at 10:00 AM (CT) at Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS), 700 E. Oakwood, Illinois, Main Lobby.
NOTE: BIDDERS MUST ATTEND THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE AND BOTH SITE VISITS. FAILURE TO ATTEND ALL EVENTS WILL RENDER YOUR BID NON-RESPONSIVE.
