Project Description
Furnish and install all necessary labor, material, and equipment required to complete the remodeling and construction of the project known as CCICS ADA Family Restrooms, Project No. 61-0112-0217, Rooms 112 and 118 in the Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS) located at 700 E. Oakwood Blvd., Chicago, IL. The scope of work to include demolition of elements and existing finishes, installation of new walls, ceilings, architectural finishes, plumbing, HVAC improvements, new equipment, and furnishings. The scope also includes coordination of all electrical work, fire alarm and any other work which may be under separate contracts directly with NEIU, as indicated in the Bid Documents.

Bid Security: General Contracting: 5% of the base bid

The University strongly supports the participation of businesses owned by Minorities, Women and Persons with Disabilities (BEP Act) and has established a goal of 20% of the resultant contract to be awarded to certified Business Enterprise Program (BEP) owned businesses. The University desires participation either on a direct basis or through sub-contracting efforts. Bidders must submit a BEP Utilization Plan in accordance with Section 004115 of the Bid Document.

The University strongly supports the participation of businesses owned by Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned (BVOSB/SDVOSB) and has established a goal of 3% of the resultant contract to be awarded to certified Veteran Business Program (VBP) owned businesses. The University desires participation either on a direct basis or through sub-contracting efforts. Bidders must submit a VOSB/SDVOSB Utilization Plan in accordance with Section 004117 of the Bid Document
