This addendum #1 is being issued to answer questions received and to provide additional information. Addendum #1 becomes part of the solicitation Bulletin #CCC2022 Child Care Center Catering Services. Bidders must include a signed copy of this document acknowledging receipt with its bid submittal.

Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) is seeking a firm to provide catering services for the Child Care Center. The successful bidder shall furnish and deliver an estimated 85 hot meals, ripe fresh fruit, snacks, and milk for children approximately between the ages 15 months to 5 years old. An estimated average of 60 children are present at the Child Care Center 250 days per year, Monday through Friday with the exception of NEIU holidays, the third week of August and winter break. Quantity and variety of food will equal or exceed local city, state, and federal requirements for toddler and preschool children.

The resulting contract with the awarded bidder shall have an initial term of three (3) years, with an option to renew for three (3) years.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid conference meeting held on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. local time at 5500 N. St. Louis Avenue, Building C, 4th floor lobby conference room Chicago IL 60625.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses or parts thereof.
Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all proposals, if applicable.
This procurement may be contingent on Board of Trustees approval.
Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid documents.
The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually.

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
