The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Reconstruction (partial) of NEIU's Access Road and PE Parking Lot project (Bid # R07014).

The project includes but is not limited to providing a bituminous base course with bituminous concrete binder and surface courses and related work on the Access Road. The project also includes reconstruction of the Physical Education Building Parking Lot involving construction of an aggregate base course with bituminous concrete binder and surface courses and related work. Pricing must be in accordance with bid package available by faxing request to Susan Zoltek, Purchasing Agent, 773/794-6665 or e-mail at See below for MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING information.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Reconstruction (partial) of NEIU's Access Road and PE Parking Lot. Bids will be received up to the hour of 1:00 AM local time, on Thursday, March 11, 1999. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING WILL BE HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 8, 1999 at 10:00 a.m. in the 3rd floor Library Classroom, Library Building.
