The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Building B Office Modifications project.

This project, Building B Office Modifications, Project No. 02-0159-0302, consists of the contractor furnishing and installing all necessary labor, material and equipment as required including General (bid security - $1054), Electrical (bid security - $900), Heating & Ventilating (bid security - $1000), and Plumbing (bid security - $1500). This construction is for approximately 2400 square feet of office and supporting facilities. Bids will be accepted for General Construction including all trades OR General Construction, Electrical, Heating & Ventilating, and Plumbing as separate contracts. Obtain bidding documents by calling Facilities Management, 773-442-5230, no deposit required

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Building B Office Modifications. Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:00 AM local time, on Thursday, June 20, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

MANDATORY pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. in Building H Training Room. (see location at
