The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the tennis court rehabilitation project (Bid # R39696).

Northeastern Illinois University is seeking contractors to furnish all necessary labor, material and equipment to complete the project known as Tennis Court Rehabilitation, Project No. 95-0000-1102, which includes the bituminous surface removal, geotechnical fabric replacement, bituminous concrete paving, crack filling and patching, tennis court surface application, tennis court markings, and miscellaneous site work of the six Northeastern Illinois University tennis courts as shown on plans. Drainage structure adjustments may also be required. Existing landscaped areas and other appurtenances adjacent to the project shall not be disturbed.

This is a re-bid of Bid #TENCT2003. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, 16 April, 2003 at 10:00 am in the Facilities Maintenance Building Conference Room, for bidders NOT in attendance at the 14 March, 2003 pre-bid meeting.

The successful bidder will be required to complete work on or before June 27, 2003. See contract documents for specific performance requirements.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Wednesday, April 23, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
