for a content management system.
Northeastern Illinois University is seeking proposals from qualified companies for a content management system. This is a separate component of a larger project to redevelop the University web site. The University seeks to implement a content management system that will enable our staff to easily and quickly add, delete or modify content at any time. This tool will give staff the control needed to maintain a fresh and updated site without being cost-prohibitive. Additionally, it will allow current news and information to be communicated to the site's audiences in a timely manner. The content management system should include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Password protected web-based interface.
- A user-friendly structure that can be used by staff who are not computer programmers.
- Ability to add, delete or modify text, images and graphical elements.
- Ability to modify parts of the navigation and create additional hyperlinks.
- Staging functionality for testing and approval purposes prior to launch.
- Ability to archive content and images.
- Online form creation.
For complete requirements, refer to the request for proposal document.
