The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Auditorium Stage Rigging project.

Northeastern Illinois University is seeking qualified suppliers to furnish and install all necessary labor, material and equipment required to complete the project known as Auditorium Stage Rigging, Project No. 05-0001-0503, for the newly renovated 500 seat auditorium.

The scope of work includes:

A. Auditorium motorized winch line sets and motorized main curtain.
B. Auditorium fire curtain.
C. Auditorium acoustical shell ceiling, floor panels, and rolling cart.
D. Auditorium stage curtain and tracks.
E. Auditorium acoustical curtains.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, 26 September, 2003 at 10:00 am in Student Union Room SU215.

Bidding documents may be obtained at Northeastern Illinois University, Facilities Maintenance Building, 5500 N. St. Louis Ave., Chicago, IL 60625; (773) 442-5230. No deposit is required.

Bid security in the amount of $16,000 will be required.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 11:00 AM local time, on Wednesday, October 8, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
