The Close Up Foundation is providing a week long study visit to Washington D.C. for 40 students of the Wells Community Academy - Chicago Public Schools (CPS). This purchase is funded through Northeastern Illinois University's and the CPS participation in the GEAR UP grant program. The GEAR UP grant is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and is designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter post-secondary education.
