The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the tennis court rehabilitation project.

Northeastern Illinois University is seeking contractors to furnish all necessary labor, material and equipment required to complete the project known as Tennis Court Rehabilitation, Project No. 95-0000-1102, which includes the bituminous surface removal, geotechnical fabric placement, aggregate base course placement, bituminous concrete paving, crack filling and patching, tennis court surface application, tennis court markings, and miscellaneous site work of the six Northeastern Illinois University tennis courts as shown on plans. Drainage structure adjustments may also be required. Existing landscaped areas and other appurtenances adjacent to the project shall not be disturbed.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 10:30 AM local time, on Thursday, March 20, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday 14 March 2003 at 9:00 am, in the Facilities Maintenance Building Conference Room.
