The Board of Trustees of Northeastern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the painting of common areas, science building 2nd & 3rd floors project.

This project includes the furnishing and installing of all necessary labor, material and equipment required to complete the project known as Painting of Common Areas, Science Building 2nd & 3rd Floors, project No. 11-0000-0502, which includes repainting of the common areas on the second and third floors and the stairwells of the Science Building, removal of existing vinyl base, and refinishing of wood railings and panels. It also includes replacement of existing vinyl wall coverings. Work must begin on 5 December, 2002. Substantial completion is required by 3 January, 2002. Final completion is required by 10 January, 2002.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, November 26, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 20, 2002 at 10:30 AM in the Building H Facilities Management Training Room.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid documents. Award may be contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Department. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
