for an anti-virus program package(s) .

The University is soliciting proposals for a package, or packages, offering the University robust anti-virus programs from qualified vendors to comprehensively protect the Northern Illinois University enterprise from computer virus outbreaks. Respondents must be able to demonstrate the operative ease of use. Products that will be given greatest consideration are those offering gateway scanning (i.e., SMTP) Netware and Windows server protection, and desktop computer protection for Windows. Preference will be given to packages that at least provide both network and local computer-based scanning with automated updates from the same source. Weight will be given to Respondents able to offer a demonstrably strong customer and technical support infrastructure. Preference may also be given to Respondents able to provide an "all-in-one" solution. Large organization and higher education references are required.
