The Board of Trustees of Northern Illinois University hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Davis Hall clean room mechanical systems upgrade project (Bid # 031604ww).

Plans and specifications will be available for pick up at NIU Procurement Services, Gilbert Hall B113, DeKalb, IL, no earlier than Friday, February 27. A mandatory walk through is required and plans may be picked up at that time. Please contact Atique Ahmed at 815-753-0730 to arrange a time for the walk through. There will be no pre-bid meeting. A maximum of two sets of plans and specifications will be allowed to each bidder at no charge.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked Davis Hall clean room mechanical systems upgrade. Bids will be received up to the hour of 1:30 PM local time, on Tuesday, March 16, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
