for synthetic grass/turf playing field (Request # 22601-RLC).

NIU is requesting proposals for the replacement of the existing AstroTurf playing field with a new synthetic grass/turf infill system. Vendors will be removing the existing AstroTurf, asphalt crown and stone sub-base, replacing that with a new synthetic grass/turf infill system including a new stone sub-base to manufacturer's specifications. All work is to be done by certified turf installers according to specifications of the system's manufacturer. All specifications are included in the RFP documents. One alternate will be for a 16,000 SF additional installation along sidelines, dependent upon budget and base bid amount. The most opportune time to begin work would be approximately April 16. Turf would be installed with yardage lines, perimeter lines, goal lines and end zone decoration tufted in. All seams must be sewn.

Respondents must provide pricing for base bid and all alternates, full specifications for the system proposed, outline of installation plan, references and contacts for previous installations in the last five years, manufacturer's certification as an authorized installer or dealer, warranty information, terms, and time for completion of project.
