This award is for satellite cable television programming services for the NIU residence halls and HSC Guest Rooms for the period from July 1, 2002 through June 30, 2003. This service involves customized satellite cable television programming and features, off-air programming services, and an on-line channel listing service which features four hours of scheduling information on each of the cable services available over the Northern Illinois University network. This scheduling information is to be provided to students free of charge. The listing service may also include updates on University-produced programming. The grid may be a custom NIU line-up if the University so chooses, or a generic line-up with all services available. The grid is website hosted and is upgraded daily with the user able to select any time of day within about 1 week's worth of time. Available offering of satellite television programming is to include: BET, ESPN2, ESPN, SCI-FI, CNN, HEADLINE NEWS, USA, TNT, TBS, CARTOON, WEATHER, MTV, VH-1, MTV2, NICKELODEON, LIFETIME, COMEDY CENTRAL, CMT, TNN, LEARNING, ANIMAL PLANET, DISCOVERY, TECH TV (ZDTV), ABC, CBS, FOX, WGN (WB), UNIVISION, SCOLA, and FOX SPORT CHICAGO.
