The University awarded a contract for an Amersmid Particle Detection System to Particle Detection Systems, Worthington, OH, for $77,400.
This procurement is for a proprietary Amersmid Particle Detection System (i.e., geological/geosciences research equipment), developed and manufactured by Amersmid, a Dutch company, and available in the United States only through this exclusive U.S. distributor. The University reserves the right to amend this sole-source procurement for reasons including but not limited to increasing or decreasing the dollar obligation, if and/or as needed.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
item or service is copyrighted or patented and is not available except from the holder of the copyright or patent.
