The University reserves the right to amend this sole source award. Amendments may be issued for reasons including but not limited to increasing or decreasing dollar amounts and/or quantities, and/or to extend or decrease the time period of term, as needed and as determined to be in the best interest of the University.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

The University awarded a contract for medical reagents to Becton Dickinson Diagnostic Systems, Sparks, MD, for an estimated $700,000.
NIU Health Services requires a multi-year contract for medical reagents used in the testing for chlamydia and gonorrhea covering the period of July 1, 2009-June 30, 2012.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
sole supplier's items are needed for trial use or testing.
Becton Dickinson is the only vendor that supplies reagents required for the instrument that does these particular tests.
