One floor of the Holmes Student Center hotel will be remodeled. Demolition has already occurred. The floor will be reconfigured to accommodate 3 suites and some public gathering area. Since demolition has left the floor wide open and clean to the concrete, the project will include all elements of interior construction including permanent ceiling replacement, new walls, new electrical and lighting, new drop ceiling grid, plumbing reconfiguration and installation, new finishes, HVAC, etc. The floor space involved is about 3,000 sq. ft.

Pre-Bid Meeting/Site Visit
A pre-bid meeting will take place on February 14, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Holmes Student Center Room 506 on the DeKalb campus of Northern Illinois University. A tour of the floors involved will follow the pre-bid meeting. Visitor parking is available south of the Holmes Student Center on Carroll Avenue. Bidders who fail to attend the pre-bid will not be allowed to bid on the project.
