Project Description
Northern Illinois University is seeking qualified professional Environmental Health and Safety consulting services that support and supplement operations of NIU Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S). Services will be provided on an open-order �??as needed�?? basis for one fiscal year starting July 1, 2015 and ending June 30, 2016 with the option for a new one year contract (including provisions for the adjustment of the consultant�??s hourly rate schedule) each year for nine additional one-year periods (July 1 through June 30). There may be multiple project assignments during the contract period to the consultant(s) on retainer. However, there is no guarantee of work to be assigned. The University anticipates selecting several qualified Environmental consultants for this retainer contract. This project will be administered by Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois.

The professional Environmental Consultant must work within all existing and established University project requirements and protocol including digital imaging, electronic specifications, and AutoCad/BIM drawing system.

Prior to contract award, the selected firm will be required to complete and submit a �??Financial Disclosures and Conflicts of Interest�?? form.

In addition to the items listed at the end of this page, only those firms which meet the following qualification will be considered:
  • Licensed to practice as a Certified Industrial Hygienist, Asbestos Building Inspector, Asbestos Project Manager, Air Sampling Professional, Asbestos Project Designer, or Professional Engineer in the State of Illinois

  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
