for a crew cab pickup truck (Bid # C-03-13390-0028M). Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids for one each new model year 2003 Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, GMC or University approved equal one-half ton 4 X 4 Crew Cab pickup truck to meet the following minimum specifications:

  • Engine: V-8, 302 cubic inches minimum
  • Automatic four-wheel drive
  • Crew cab, 6-passenger seating
  • 8-foot bed
  • Standard wheel base
  • Four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive
  • Trailer towing package w/Reese hitch
  • Class III frame mounted hitch
  • 4-pole trailer light wiring harness
  • Power outlet
  • AM/FM radio w/clock
  • Brakes: Power front, rear disc, 4-wheel anti-lock
  • Dual air bag system
  • Air conditioning
  • Power steering
  • Cruise control, factory installed
  • Variable intermittent wipers
  • Heavy duty high output alternator, 90 amp minimum

The Unversity offers for trade-in, one each 1990 GMC Pickup truck which may be inspected at the SIUC Travel Service office on Thursday 10/03/02 between the hours of 9:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m.

A contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
