for pickup trucks (Bid # C-03-56017-0015M). Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids for the following pickup trucks:

  • One new Model Year 2003 two-wheel drive three quarter ton Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, GMC or University approved equal.
  • One new Model Year 2003 four-wheel drive three-quarter ton Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, GMC or University approved equal.
  • Three new Model Year 2003 four-wheel drive Chevy S-10, Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota, or University approved equal.
  • Two new Model Year 2003 two-wheel drive Chevy S-10, Ford Ranger, Dodge Dakota or University approved equal.
The requested vehicles are to include all equipment advertised as standard, and meet minimum University specifications.

The University offers the following vehicles for trade-in consideration:
  • One 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier
  • One 1978 Chevrolet Hauling van
  • One 1989 Chevrolet Mini-ickup
  • One 1991 Chevrolet Mini-pickup
Trade-ins will be available for inspection on Tuesday 8-13-02 at the SIUC Travel Service office between the hours of 9:00 a.m., and 3:00 p.m. An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions. Multiple awards may be made if considered in the best interest of the University.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
