for a mass spectrometer and liquid chromatography system.

The hybrid quadrupole/orthogonal time-of-flight mass spectrometer must meet the following specifications:

  • Resolution: >5000 in both positive and negative ion modes
  • 5 ppm RMS mass accuracy with single lockmass
  • Nanoflow electrospray interface
  • Data dependent MS to MS/MS switching
  • Lockspray interface for real time mass calibration
  • At least four spectra/second continuous acquisition over the mass range m/z100-1000
  • Software for real time processing and database matching of MS/MS data for protein and peptide characterization
  • Software for the deconvolution of multiple charge state electrospray data to zero charge state data
  • Computer hardware for real time peptide sequence matching
The liquid chromatography system must meet the following specifications:
  • Temperature controlled autosampler
  • Solvent gradients at flow rates down to 1 uL/min
  • Ternary solvent gradients
  • Programmable injection volumes from 50 nL - 5uL
An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
