Comments:
Based upon continuing need, availability of funds, and wage increases, the University believes it is in its best interest to renew this agreement with Power Maintenance and Constructors, Incorporated.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

Comments:
The original award was made in July 2003 based upon low bid meeting specifications, particularly hourly labor charges, material mark-up percentage, and travel expenses. The bid made provisions for five one-year opetions to renew. The price increase is based upon increases in prevailing wages for skilled crafts. Based upon continuing need, availability of funds, and documented wage increases, the University believes it is in the best interest to renew this agreement.

Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide labor and material to perform repair and maintenance on boilers and associated systems within the SIUC Boiler Plant.
An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.
At its sole option, the University reserves the right to renew the resulting agreement for five additional twelve-month periods beginning July 1, 2004.
The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Contingent on Board of Trustees approval.Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office.Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
