for a handicapped van (Bid # C13390-0033M). Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the purchase of 1 new model year 2003 Ford, Chevrolet, GMC, Dodge or University approved handicap equipped van to meet the following specifications:

  • Standard body, windows throughout
  • 8700# GVWR w/one ton chassis minimum
  • 5.4 L V8 gasoline engine minimum
  • Heavy duty 4-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with overdrive
  • Swing-out 60/40 side doors
  • Front and rear air conditioning

  • Two high back front bucket seats

The University offers one each 1990 Ford handicap equipped van for trade in. The trade-in may be inspected on Tuesday October 1, 2002 at the SIUC Travel Service Office between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

A contract will be awarded to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
