for a new model 2001 seven passenger van and four-door sedan (Bid # C13390-0115M). Southern Illinois University Carbondale is wishing to purchase one four-door sedan, to include all items listed as standard, and to meet the following specifications:

• White or maroon color
• 103" minimum wheel base
• 4-cyl, 2.0L fuel injected engine
• Minimum 27.5 MPG highway fuel average
• Automatic transmission with overdrive
• Power steering
• Power brakes, front disk, rear anti-lock
• Air Conditioning
• Tinted glass
• Cruise control, factory installed
• Intermittent wipers
• AM/FM radio w/clock
• Tires: 4 steel-belted radial black wall, w/standard equipment spare
• Dual air bags
• Front and rear license plate brackets

The University also wishes to purchase one each seven passenger van to meet the following specifications:

• White or maroon color
• Seven passenger seating
• 113" minimum wheelbase
• Front wheel drive
• Air conditioning
• 3.8L V-6 engine
• Automatic transmission w/overdrive
• AM/FM radio w/clock
• Remote controlled outside rearview mirrors
• Daytime running lights
• Dual air bags
• Front/rear anti-lock brakes
• Fuel tank capacity 20-gallon minimum
• Power steering
• Cruise control, factory installed
• Tinted glass
• Alternator 90 amp minimum
• Front stabilizer bar
• Front power disk brakes
• Rear window defogger
• Side body moldings
• Tires: P215/65R15 steel belted radial black wall w/standard equipment spare

In consideration of the availability of model year 2001 vehicles, quoted units must be available for immediate delivery. Order will be issued to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions. Trade-in vehicles may be inspected on 5/10/01 at the Travel Service office between the hours of 9:00 am, and 3:00 pm.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
