Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids for one each Mustang Dynamometer to include the following:- Integrated Eddy Current Power absorption
- 150 mph speed capacity
- Peak Power Measurement: 900 hp at maximum speed
- Peak speed: 150 mph
- Peak Power absorption: 605 hp at maximum speed
- Base Mechanical inertia: 2,000 lbs
- Axle weight capacity: 6,000 lbs
- Eddy Current Power absorption unit with load cell and cabling
- Knurl roll finish for added traction
- Manual pull down configuration
- NEMA-1 control box, wall mount
- Instrumentation cart
- Host computer system, custom Pentium III, 866 MHz PC package w/keyboard, mouse, and 15" VGA color monitor
- Vehicle restraint kit w/two wheel chocks, twelve anchor pods, four heavy duty anchor straps, and two heavy duty axle straps
- Hall effect speed pick-up with cabling
- RF hand remote with RF receiver to include back-up CD
- Control Software version 2.39, Windows graphical interface
- Windows 98 system w/back-up CD
- Mustang engine speed module to include inductive sensor and optical sensor w/magnetic stand and refective tape
An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.
The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof.
Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents.

Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
