The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University Carbondale hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the tennis court resurfacing project.

The scope of the project includes cleaning, repairing of cracks in the court surfaces, applying a resurfacer and color system, and striping of eighteen University-owned outdoor tennis courts.

Additional plans and specifications may be obtained by contacting the SIUC Purchasing Department.

Sealed envelopes containing the bids will be marked tennis court resurfacing. Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Monday, August 8, 2005. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • A letter from a surety company in substantially the form set forth in the Instructions to Bidders assuring the issuance of the Performance and Payment Bond.
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

There will be a pre-bid meeting on August 1, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. CDST in the SIUC Student Recreation Center, Room 133. Attendance is recommended to familiarize the bidders with sites and conditions.
