for a mercury analyzer (Bid # C205M). The unit being requested is a new mercury analyzer capable of detecting ultra-low (0.02 nano-gram or lower) mercury concentration from fly ash and FGD scrubber materials. The successful bidder must supply a unit capable of directly measuring mercury concentration from solid samples without the need for chemical treatment, and meet the following specifications:

  • Unit shall have an integrated system able to dry samples, and have amalgamation and spectrophotometer.
  • Analyzer must meet the detection limit of 0.02 nano-gram and capable of an even lower limit.
  • Detector must be silicon UV detector.
  • Must have sample drying time between 0 and 360 sec, and drying temperature between 160-300 degrees C.
An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
