for an air cooled slide-in packaged air conditioner chassis. Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids for 100 each PTAC units with normal cooling capacity of 12,000 BTUH to meet the following minimum, specifications:

• Unit shall be a replacement slide-in packaged unit to fit in existing wall sleeve, replacing existing PTAC (manufactured by American Air Filter, type 16)
• Dimensions for existing cabinets are: 41-1/2" in length, 16-1/16" in height, and 20-3/8" in depth
• Chassis to consist of a compressor, condenser fan and coil, twin evaporator fans and coil, and unit controls
• Chassis shall be UL approved
• The outdoor fan motor shall be separate from the roomside fan motor, with both to be permanent split capacitor, two-speed with built-in automatic reset overload protector type
• Chassis structural components to be manufactured with 16 ga. galvanized steel
• The condenser and evaporator coils shall be constructed of seamless "rifled" copper tubes with aluminum fins
• Roomside fans shall be double width, double inlet, forward curved centrifugal type

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
