The award was split between the two vendors, with Vic Koenig Chevrolet being awarded the five Chevrolet Cobalts for $54,641.50, and Dennison Corporation the three Ford Taurus' for $41,032.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

for new Model Year 2005 vehicles. The items being requested are: Five each Chevrolet Cavalier, Cobalt, Ford Focus, or University approved equal, and three Ford Taurus, Dodge, Chevrolet, or University approved four-door sedan flex fuel vehicles to meet the specifications outlined in the attached document. The University offers for trade-in consideration, eight vehicles, which are also listed in the attached document.

Multiple awards may be made from this solicitation if determined to be in the best interest of the University. Award(s) will be made based upon the lowest price meeting specifications for each individual line item.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
