Comments:
The award was made to Ward Chrysler as the low bidder meeting specifications. There were two other bidders with lower pricing than Ward Chrysler, (Morrow Brothers Ford of Greenfield, Il, and Joe Hotze Ford of Salem Il). The initial solicitation requested fold-away stow and go seating for the second and third row seats. Morrow Ford and Joe Hotze Ford bid the standard Ford product which does not offer the fold-away stow and go seating, but merely a fold-away seat which will not afford the additional storage space required for the intended use of the requesting department.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

The University is seeking bids for four new model year (2005 or 2006) seven-passenger minivans with fold-away second and third row seats to meet the minimum specifications listed in the attached document
The University offers for trade-in allowance six vehicles also listed in the bid document.
An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.
The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof.
Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents.
Contingent on Board of Trustees approval.
Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office.
Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
