Southern Illinois University Carbondale is interested in purchasing air cooled slide-in packaged terminal air conditioner chassis with cooling capacity of 12,000 BTUH (24) each, and 9,000 BTUH (24) each. The units shall be replacement slide-in packaged terminal air conditiioner (PTAC) chassis, and must fit in existing wall sleeve. The units are to replace existing PTAC units manufactured by American Air Filter, Type 16. The approximate inside dimensions for the existing cabinets are 41-1/2" in length, 16-1/16" in height, and 20-3/8" in depth.
The unit chassis shall consist of a compressor, condenser fan and coil, twin evaporator fans and coil and unit controls. The chassis shall be completely assembled and factory tested prior to shipment and shall be so designed as to be easily removable for the wall sleeve for service.
It shall be the responsibility of the bidders to visit the site and verify all dimensions and be responsible for the same. Visits may be scheduled by contacting Glenn Stine at 618-453-7687. Detailed specifications may be requested from the Purchasing office of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office.
