  • The inside dimensions for the exising cabinets are 41-1/2" L, x 16-1/16" H, x 20-3/8" D.
  • It shall be the responsibility of the bidders to visit the site and verify all dimensions and be responsible for the same. Contact Glenn Stine at 618-453-7687 for site information.
  • The unit chassis shall consist of a compressor, condenser fan and coil, twin evaporator fans and coil, and unit controls.
  • The chassis shall be completely assembled and factory tested prior to shipment and shall be so designed as to be easily removable from the wall sleeve for service.
  • Chassis must be UL approved; ETL and ARL certification are not acceptable.
  • The outdoor fan motor shall be separate from the roomside fan motor, both to be permanent split capacitor type, two-speed with built-in automatic reset overload protection.
  • Single fan motors and shade pole motors are not acceptable.
  • Units shall operate from a dual power source.
  • The successful bidder must provide a line cord serving the compressor circuit only and a separate line cord serving the indoor fan and heating circuit only. Both circuits shall be line voltage 208V and operated independently of each other.
  • Bidders must provide drawings indicating dimensions, rough-in connections, and electrical characteristics and connection requirements.
  • The apparent low bidder shall provide a complete sample unit within 30 days of being notified as being the apparent low bidder.
  • The successful vendor must demonstrate to the satisfaction of SIU that the unit will fit into existing wall sleeves without any modifications to the wall sleeve or PTAC.
  • The sample unit must comply with all requirements specified in the request for quotation.
  • All costs associated with submitting sample shall be the responsibility of the vendor, and included in the base bid.

The award of this contract will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.
