for laboratory equipment (Bid # C8046M). Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking bids for one each Sputter Coater for use in the thin film fabrication laboratory. The unit is used to fabricate coatings using nanotechnology to create noncomposite thin film materials, biomaterials, and protective coatings. The Sputter Coater shall consist of the following components:

  • A main deposition chamber
  • Chamber top flange, body, bottom, mounting frame
  • Vacuum pumping system
  • High Vacuum
  • Pressure control valving
  • Vacuum gauging
  • Magnetron sputter sources
  • Power supplies
  • Gas handling controllers
  • Substrate holder
  • Control systems
A complete listing of specifications may be obtained by contacting SIUC Purchasing. An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
