for wooden accordion folding doors (Bid # C8086M). Southern Illinois University Carbondale wishes to purchase the following sizes of wooden accordion folding doors: 300 46" x 90", and 200 48" x 75 1/2". The doors are to be constructed of vertical kiln dried wood slats, 7/8" to 1" wide by 1/8" thick, walnut color. The slats are to be fastened with interwoven weaving cords, which are to be a minimum #12 hard finish 38 pound test cord, spaced a maximum of 4 inches apart. Interwoven vinyl slats will not be accepted. The leading rail is to be a minimum 1/2" wide with handles and 10 pound pull magnetic latch. Non-metallic tracks are to be included, to ensure smooth and quiet operation. Metal tracks will not be accepted. All screws and hardware for installation is to be provided in the price of the bid. Tracks and doors are to be shipped in the same box, tracks packaged separately will not be accepted.

An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions. The successful bidder will furnish a sample of the product for University inspection and approval.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
