for a console helium leak detector. Southern Illinois University Carbondale is interested in purchasing one each high production console helium leak detector, (115V/60Hz) to meet the following specifications:

  • Flexible operation mode (reverse, direct or a combination of both).
  • No Liquid Nitrogen required.
  • Single button startup.
  • Sensitivity 3 x 10 -11 std cc/sec.
  • Standard VGA color CRT, swivel and tilt adjustable.
  • Leak range: 10 to 3 x 10 -11, std. cc/sec.
  • Extended work surface.
  • 7 CFM direct drive forepump.
  • 16 CFM direct drive roughing pump.
  • 52 L/S turbomolecular high vacuum pump.
  • Built-in NIST traceable temperature compensated calibrated leak.
  • Dual magnetic sector mass spectrometer tube to measure both helum leak rate and high vacuum.
  • Auto startup, tune, calibration, auto zero and auto shutdown.
  • 50 programmable test recipes.
  • Resolution of 14 at mass 4, AVS method.
  • Five year warranty on electrical boards, 2- year system warranty excluding consumables.
The award of this Purchase Order will be made to the lowest bidder meeting specifications and conditions.

The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid/RFP documents. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting the Purchasing Office. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all bid proposals.
